Re: Visit of Judge Alex Kozinski as Distinguished Jurist.
On October 17 and 18, Judge Alex Kozinski of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit will be visiting Santa Clara University School of Law as the Heafey Center Distinguished Jurist for 2006. We hope students and faculty will take full advantage of the opportunities this will present to meet and hear Judge Kozinski.
Born in Bucharest, Rumania, Judge Kozinski is a graduate of UCLA and UCLA School of Law. He was appointed to the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit by President Ronald Reagan in 1985, after service on the U.S. Court of Claims. During his 21 years of service on the Ninth Circuit court, he has authored numerous leading opinions in a wide spectrum of fields.
Judge Kozinski will participate in the following programs and classes at the law school during his visit:

6:30-8:00 p.m. Judge William A. Ingram Memorial Symposium on Civility in the Legal Profession in the Recital Hall of Music and Dance Building. Judge Kozinsk and Judge Reinhardt will participate in a panel discussion with Professor Gerald F.
