Congratulations to Steve Barbieri and JP Rose for being selected as SCU Law’s 2012 California Bar Environmental Law Negotiations team. Also, Marie McCann and Ryan Thompson have been selected as the SCU alternate team this year, and will also represent SCU at the competition if space is available.

The 13th annual Environmental Law Negotiation Competition, organized by the California Bar Association, gives California law students experience negotiating an environmental dispute, judge by environmental attorneys, professional mediators, and judges. SCU will attend the competition hosted by UCLA School of Law in Los Angeles California on March 23, 2012.

 
The attorneys co-coaching the teams are Elizabeth Pianca of the County Counsel's Office and Rita Chan of the Santa Clara Valley Water District. Both are SCU Law alums and competed in this competition while in law school. Professor Ken Manaster is also serving as coach to the team. The HMCE Competition Manager for the teams is Sarah Whitney.
