The Legal Workshop Program of The Katharine & George Alexander Community Law Center is looking for volunteer students to make community workshop presentations. You can serve by educating the underprivileged communities about their rights in these three areas of Law: Consumer rights, Employment Rights, and Tenants’ rights.
STUDENT VOLUNTEERS:
Students should expect to be trained by a supervising attorney. Students will present one or more workshops (workshop length: approximately 1 hour) at various agencies serving low-income, immigrant, or elderly populations in Santa Clara County. These agencies may include immigrant cultural organizations, English as Second Language classes, and school parent groups. Some workshops may be presented to Vietnamese or Spanish speakers, with interpreters provided by the Law Center.
