Timeline for Externships

Fall Semester:

• Begin looking into fields of law that are of interest. Check out the Career Pathways Wiki for helpful information.
• Ask classmates and professors about their work experience.
• Read about the different types of externships via the Externship webpage.

Spring Semester:

• Find sponsoring organizations in the field of law that are of interest.  See the different types of externships on the Externship page for contact information or check the Symplicity job site.
• Fill out the externship forms and submit them to APD in Bannan Hall, Room 230 by the following dates:

            - For a Fall Semester externship: May 1
            - For a Spring Semester externship: October 1
            - For a Summer Semester externship: February 1

*Remember, students must enroll in both the required course and seminar during open registration times.  Upon APD approval, eCampus permission numbers will be distributed for enrollment.
