Panetta Fellowship
The Panetta Fellowship program was developed to provide an educational opportunity for law students interested in law and government, political science, or public policy. Students work with professional staff at the Leon and Sylvia Panetta Institute in Monterey, California.
How to Apply
To be considered for the Panetta Fellowship, students must first submit an application to APD. The application must include a resume, transcript, and a statement of interest. Finalists will be selected and asked to complete a brief written assignment.
Deadlines for submissions:
- Fall semester: April 1
- Spring semester: October 1
Requirements & Units Earned
Students must be at least in their second-year, have completed both semesters of Civil Procedure, and have met the minimum GPA requirements to be eligible.
Students must complete 140 hours at the Institute. The fellowship counts as 2-externship units. See the Pink Book on ClaraNet for more information.
How to Register
Upon selection, students will receive a permission number and must enroll in LAW 523: The Panetta Fellowship during the normal course registration time.
