Campus Access

Alumni of Santa Clara University School of Law are eligible to use many of the facilities around the historic Mission campus.

Orradre Library

Orradre Library provides Santa Clara University alumni with a free library card for borrowing privileges. Please stop by Donohoe Alumni House to pick up your alumni card first, as Orradre must verify alumni status.

Santa Clara University Law Library

Santa Clara University Law Library Courtesy Cards may be purchased only by attorneys or Santa Clara Law alumni. Depending on the type of card purchased, it is possible for an attorney to designate an additional user of the Courtesy Card.

There are two types of Courtesy Cards available:

I. Access and Borrowing Privileges

     A.  Alumni Library Cards
           Under 5 years in practice: $50.00/year
           In Practice 5 years and over: $100.00/year*

     B.  Non Alumni Library Cards: $300.00/year*

* These rates permit the use of the library by the registered attorney and one designated full time employee of the attorney. The additional user must be registered at the Circulation Desk. To designate more than one additional users, the attorney must purchase a Courtesy Card for each additional user at the same rate that attorney paid.

II. Access Only

      A.  Individual: Individual monthly access only card
           may be purchased by eligible attorneys. This card
           permits access only. Fee: $30.00/month

      B.  Firm Cards: Law firms may purchase access only Courtesy
           Cards for use by anyone in the firm. The firm shall provide
           the library with a list of authorized users. The Courtesy Card
           must be presented to gain access to the library.

Pat Malley Fitness Center

Alumni may purchase a Pat Malley Fitness Center use card for $400/year, or $150/quarter. Spouses of alumni may purchase a membership provided their spouse is a member. The card is good from July 1 to June 30. The card may be purchased at the Campus Recreation Front Desk at (408) 554-4068.

Office of Career Management

The Office of Career Management team partners with students, alumni and employers to provide timely career information and resources. TheOffice of Career Management is Open to all alumni and is located at Charney Hall – 1st Floor, 500 El Camino Real, Santa Clara, CA 95050.

Law Alumni Center

The Law Alumni Office is located at Charney Hall – 3rd Floor, 500 El Camino Real, Santa Clara, CA 95050. Alumni and donors are welcome to visit the Law Alumni Office to provide updated contact information, to inquire about alumni activities, to make a gift to the law school, etc.

Mission Church

Santa Clara Mission, founded in 1777, is the first mission named for a woman. Because of floods, fires, and earthquakes, the Church was been built/rebuilt this is the sixth church on the fifth site. The flavor of the original adobe building has been restored using modern materials. Interior decorations now seen are the wonderfully combined Indian, Spanish, Italian and Victorian embellishments added through time.

The Mission Church is available for weddings and memorials for SCU students, faculty, staff and alumni. For more information about Church availability call (408) 554-4023.

Adobe Lodge

The Adobe Lodge is the oldest building on the Santa Clara University campus and the only structural remnant of the original 1822 Mission Santa Clara. Located just steps away from the Mission in the beautiful Mission Gardens, a stroll to the historic Adobe Lodge is a step back into history. Meticulously remodeled to retain its Mission-era flavor, the Adobe Lodge is perfect for private parties, business and association meetings for groups up to 600 served, 1,500 for receptions.

For catering information please call (408) 554-4059, or better yet, let them know when you can come in for lunch or a cup of coffee. They would enjoy talking with you about their services and will gladly provide a tour of their beautiful and historic facility.

de Saisset Museum

The de Saisset Museum was built in 1955 through a generous bequest from Isabel de Saisset in memory of her brother Ernest. Since its inception, the museum has amassed an art collection that is well-respected by artists and collectors.

The de Saisset is a repository of an extensive California history collection. Each year, thousands of visitors view the permanent collection with the Santa Clara Mission, the exquisite and expansive gardens, the Adobe Lodge and Adobe Wall, and other historical sites in a walking tour of the Santa Clara University campus.

The de Saisset enjoys the highest honor of full accreditation by the American Association of Museums. The permanent collection features prints, sculpture, contemporary art, and much more. Temporary exhibits of culturally relevant and traditional art are featured in addition to a variety of films, lectures, concerts, and other special events.
