Description

Santa Clara Law would like to present the Prelaw Undergraduate Scholars Program (PLUS Program) for the summer of 2009.  We see this endeavor as an opportunity to give undergraduate students a broad perspective as to how the study of law is taught at an elite private institution of higher learning.  It is our hope that our student participants will have a rich exposure and a greater appreciation for the legal profession.

Our PLUS Program offers undergraduate students an opportunity to learn more about the legal profession in an environment that is conducive to the study of law.  The non-residential, four-week program is designed to help students sharpen their comprehensive reading, writing, logic, and reasoning skills which are all fundamental in preparing for law school.  The program is for college freshman, sophomores, and juniors from underrepresented groups that include but are not limited to students of diverse racial and ethnic groups, students from educationally disadvantaged communities, and other groups that are underrepresented in the legal profession.
