J.D. Admissions

Applying to law school is an exciting - and challenging endeavor. There is a lot to do, and a lot of information to absorb. Please contact our admissions office if you need any help with the process.

You may submit your application starting September 1 of each year. Our priority deadline is February 1. Our early action deadline is November 1. We have a rolling admissions process so we encourage you to apply early. As a first year student, you are only eligible to enter law school in the fall semester.

We accept applicants on the basis of their

  • college records
  • LSAT score
  • information contained in the application forms
  • personal statements
  • optional letters of recommendation
  • and any other information provided

However, we attempt to avoid taking a mechanical approach to admissions. We look for non quantitative data such as life experience, the selection of academic courses, improvement in the undergraduate academic program, graduate work, employment in law-related fields, maturity, and a variety of other factors. It is the function of our Admissions Committee to uncover students who show the capacity to become good lawyers.
