Publications

Upper division students have the opportunity to work on one of three scholarly journals. This work can include written scholarship published in the journal and editorial work on scholarly articles submitted by others. The journals are circulated internationally. The journals have newly renovated offices in a journal building adjacent to the University campus. They are administered by the students under general faculty supervision.

 

Santa Clara Law Review
The Law Review publishes scholarly work without limitation as to subject matter in four editions yearly. In fall 1999, for example, the Law Review published a symposium on Children and Family Law. The Law Review also publishes selected Comments from Santa Clara students selected for the Law Review and includes an annual Ethics Year in Review section.

 

Santa Clara Computer and High Technology Law Journal
The Computer and High Technology Law Journal is one of the top rated journals of its kind in the United States, and is dedicated to publishing scholarship in the area of computer and technology law in four editions yearly. The Journal hosts an annual symposium that draws leaders from across the nation. Recent symposia topics have included "Cross Border Legal Challenges in High Tech Law" in 2007 and "Internet Collaboration: Charting the Waters of Virtual Worlds, Web 2.0, and the GPL" in February, 2008.

 

Santa Clara Journal of International Law 
The Journal of International Law was launched in the spring of 2003 through a collaborative effort of students and faculty. The web-based Journal publishes one volume per year with articles dealings with issues of international and comparative legal scholarship. Articles are published on a rolling timeline to enable the Journal to address global events and issues as they arise. The topic of the inaugural International Journal of Law symposium was "Emergency and Disaster Relief of the International World." In 2005, the Journal co-sponsored "The Future of Food: Legal and Ethical Challenges". The spring 2006 conference is entitled, "The Globalization of Pharmaceutical Development: Race, Markets and Ethics.

 

Santa Clara Law Magazine
The magazine of Santa Clara University School of Law. This publication focuses on the activities of Santa Clara Law alumni. Articles about upcoming events, recent achievements and helpful advice for recent graduates.
