A great law school attracts great students—high-achieving students with a wealth of choices. Santa Clara Law recruits these students in an environment of fierce competition. Crucial to this recruitment goal is the need for increased scholarship aid.

Merit-based scholarships to attract elite candidates and to:

  • Reduce debt, which will give graduates more flexibility in employment opportunities
  • Support positive student outcomes, such as hands-on experience and employment success
  • Promote community benefits, such as pro bono legal services

Need-based scholarships to:

  • Support highly qualified students without the financial means to pursue a legal education
  • Continue to enroll a diverse student population, a critical component in legal education and required to meet the needs of an increasingly global workplace
