Secured parties will often hire independent contractors to undertake repossession rather than train in house personnel.  Case law generally holds secured parties liable for a breach of the peace committed by an independent contractor.  Accordingly, a secured party will typically require that the independent contractor insure against claims of breach of the peace.   J.
