n11 It is undisputed that the present transaction otherwise fell within the amending language of the statute: plaintiffs' deed of trust was "given to a lender [defendant bank] to secure repayment of a loan which was in fact used to pay all or part" of the cost of constructing their single-family residence, and they occupied the residence "entirely" upon its completion.
