Even if the language in both Freese and Corn Belt Trust was just dictum, how wise was PCA in making future advances, prior to the 1984 Iowa legislation. It at least bought a lawsuit. Is there anything PCA could have done to avoid this lawsuit other than to decline further advances to Moeller?
