According to columnist Ed Foster, writing in an August 18, 2000 article in online magazine InfoWorld, arbitration would have cost the Hills a $2,000 fee regardless of the outcome of the dispute, and the amount of that fee was not disclosed in the terms accompanying the computer but could be discovered by contacting an organization in France.
