Most debtors who fail to pay a debt or an installment due on a debt are simply unable to pay because of the interruption or inadequacy of an expected stream of revenue.  A few debtors refuse to pay because of a dispute about the existence or amount of liability.  Rarely does a debtor refuse to pay out of spite.
