Chapters 7, 11, and 13 are chapters of the Bankruptcy Code, each of which provides a distinct form of relief to a debtor. In these materials we do not discuss Chapter 9, permitting adjustment of debts of a municipality, or Chapter 12, permitting adjustment of debts of a family farmer with regular annual income. Chapters 1, 3, and 5 of the Bankruptcy Code contain provisions generally applicable to all the remaining chapters of the Bankruptcy Code.  Except for Chapter 12, there are no even numbered chapters in the Bankruptcy Code.
